Microlerpeton

This little amphibian Microlerpeton was found in the permian layers of Odernheim/Pfalz, Germany.

The animal measures about 18 cm. It is an adult grown individual. The matrix is original, it measures about 24 x 13 x 2,5 cm. It was broken and have been reglued. No other manipulations! The fossil has a thin layer of laquer (which can be removed easily by using Aceton), no paint - all you see is real bone!

All four legs are present and even the shape of the body is preserved as a thin layer of skin. The skull is excellent preserved.

It is strictly forbidden to dig in this location for many years. This fossil comes from an old collection.
