The jaw part with tooth offered here comes from a Mosasaurus. The fossil comes from Cretaceous deposits.
It is around 65 million years old and was found in the famous phosphate mines around Kouribga in Morocco.
The tooth has been preserved complete with root and is still embedded in the jawbone. The size of the
fossil is about 7 cm.
The chewed (not broken!) tip and side is interesting.
The unbroken original matrix measures approximately 10 x 9.5 x 3 cm.
No repairs or manipulations - beautiful piece!
