This is a piece of jaw with a tooth from the Mosasaur Globidens. The fossil comes from the Kouribga
phosphate mines in Morocco. The sediments there date back to the Cretaceous period and are around
65 million years old.
Moroccan taxidermists often insert such teeth into a piece of bone to create the impression of
a jaw. But not with this piece, the tooth and the root are in the original jaw.
The fossil is unbroken, the dimensions of the piece are approximately 7 x 7 x 3.5 cm.
No manipulation whatsoever!
