Mesosaur Skeleton #3

This partial skeleton of Mesosaurus tenuidens is from the early Permian of Brazil. The age of 
this fossil amounts to approx 280 million years.

The stone is unbroken, it measures about 26 x 18 x 3 cm.

These fossils used to be available for purchase from time to time, but since the strict export 
ban that Brazil imposed a few years ago, no pieces have come onto the market. The reptile 
offered here is an exhibit from an old collection.
