Products description

This tooth of the carnivore Batrochotomus was found in the upper triassic layers (lower keuper) of Kupferzell, Germany.

This fossil is excellent preserved, undamaged and it shows perfect serrations on both sides. It is still embedded in its original matrix.

Fossils from Kupferzell are in great demand and have international reputation. The location is closed for a long time. In the year 1977 and only for about two months during the construction of the highway "Heilbronn-Nürnberg" it was possible to dig in this site. These fossils are well known for their excellent preservation.

The tooth is quite big, it measures 4 cm. The matrix is unbroken and measures about 7 x 4,4 cm.
