These eggshell fragments of Hypselosaurus priscus come from the Cretaceous layers of the
Montagne St. Victoire near Aix-en-Provence, France.
The lot includes 50 shells, some with original sediment still attached.
This classic dinosaur egg discovery site is now strictly protected! No new discoveries from there
willn reach the market.
Hypselosaurus was a comparatively small sauropod, about 8 meters long. It lived in Spain and France.
It laid its eggs in small, crater-shaped nests. The eggs are notable for their almost spherical shape.
Each egg had a diameter of 30 cm and a volume of about 2 liters.
The fossils are in their original condition - just as found - without any manipulations!
