Nothosaur tooth

This tooth of Nothosaurus marchicus comes from the Lower Muschelkalk (Orbicularis layer) 
of Farnstaedt in Germany.

The tooth measures approximately 7 mm. It is completely preserved and sits on an unbroken original 
matrix (approx. 3 x 3 x 2 cm).

Such teeth are usually offered from the Upper Muschelkalk, finds from the Lower Muschelkalk are rare.

Perfectly preserved specimen without any manipulation!
