Baby Turtle

This baby turtle comes from the Lower Cretaceous sediments (Crato Formation - Santana Formation) of Nova Olinda in the Araripe Basin of Brazil. This fossil is approximately 125 million years old.

The animal measures approximately 4 cm. The stone is original and unbroken, measuring approximately 21 x 17 x 1 cm.

Due to the strict export ban, fossils from Brazil are no longer available on the market; the specimen offered here comes from an old collection.

The turtle's head and neck were added to enhance the echibits visual appearance, everything else is original and without any manipulations.
