These paddle bones (phalanges) are from a large ichthyosaur, Stenopterygius sp. They date from the Liassic Epsilon, Toarcian, and are approximately 180 million years old. They were found in Balingen, Weilstetten in Germany. The stone is unbroken and measures approximately 33 x 22 x 3 cm. Prepared using modern sandblasting technology – all original – no manipulations!
