Products description
This sandstone block with a piece of dinosaur bone comes from layers of the Lower Cretaceous (Berriasium) and is about 145 million years old.
It was found in a sandstone quarry near Obernkirchen in Germany. This site is famous because of its numerous Dinosaur footprints and trackways that have been discovered in the year 2007. The traces were identified as footprints of various species such as Iguanodon and Theropods. Bone finds are extremely rare.
The piece of bone was found during sandstone processing on site. The fossil measures about 5 cm. Which dinosaur it originated is unknown. The stone is unbroken, it measures about 11 x 9 x 3 cm.
Although it is only a fragment it is extremely rare. Diinosaur bones from Germany are hiighly sought after by collectors and museums are never offered for sale anywhere.
