Captorhinus bonebed

Here we offer a neat piece of so called bonebed. It iss a stone full of reptile bones (most of these bones belong to the reptile Captorhinus spec.)

The fossil was found in the lower permian layers (Arroyo Formation) of Lawton, Oklahoma, USA.

The stone is unbroken, it measures about 17 x 9 x 4 cm.

It contains many differend bones and even at least one piece of jaw with teeth are visible. All is still unprepped, one could completely remove the bones (by using acid) - that way it is possible to create complete skeletons like the ones we offer (see category "skulls, skeletons").

Rarely offered fossils without any manipulations.
