Products description

This is the fragment of a frog. The fossil comes from the Miocene layers of Gracanica
in Bosnia.

The age of the fossil is about 15.5 million years. Fossils of this location are comparable
to the great finds from Öhningen in Germany or Teruel in Spain. Both mentioned places are
classic localities of paleontology and are unfortunately no longer accessible since a long time.

This fossil was very elaborately prepared using the Plastic-Tranfer method (similar to fossils of
the famous Messel pit) to preserve it permanently.

The unbroken slab measures about 22.5 x 12 cm. The largest measurable dimension at the fossil
is about 10.5 cm.

The animal unfortunately is not complete - for this reason, it is quite inexpensive.
The preparation have been done very carefully. The bones are beautiful and very detailed,
even the tiny teeth have been exposed carefully.

No additions, everything is original!
