This is a shark egg of Palaeoxyris from the Pennsylvanian - carboniferous - from Mazon Creek in the United States. The piece is very special. One can clearly see the preserved egg yolk (round yellowish area in the egg center) and the black areas are interpreted as embryonic remains.
Do not miss this one - it is a once in a lifetime chance to purchase such a rare shark egg with soft tissue preservation.
The stone is unbroken, it measures about 7,5 x 5,5 cm. The fossil is 100% natural - no manipualtions at all!
