This skull of Eurhinosaur was found in the lower jurassic layers (Lias) of Dotternhausen in Germany.
Eurhinosaur is a rare extinct Ichthyosaur genus whose most striking feature is the extreme overbite. The lower jaw is about 60% shorter than the upper jaw.
This fossil is great ! Both - the preservation and the preparation of the skull - are excellent. More than 120 teeth can be seen.
The fossil have been enclosed in a wooden plate - on the backside there are hangers, so you can easily attach the fossil to a wall.
The stone measures about 98 x 26 cm, the plate is about 108 x 45 cm.
Rare and excellent-preserved piece!
