Barasaurus, triassic reptile spine # 3

For sale is here a rarely offered fossil. It is a nodule containing a partial spine of a triassic reptile. This partial Barasaurus was found in triassic sediments of Madagascar.

The nodule is original and unbroken, it measures about 6 x 5 cm.   

Fishes from the Trias of Madagascar are offered from time to time, reptiles from this location are very hard to get! It is completely forbidden to export fossils out of Madagascar. No new fossils reach the open market! This fossil was part of an old collection.
