Horse carved in Mammoth ivory

This little horse has been carved out of a small piece of mammoth ivory about 30.000 years ago.

It was found by Prof. G. Riek in the year 1931 in a cave (Vogelherdhöhle) near Heidenheim, Germany.

This cast is handcoloured and made of Epoxi. The colours may be a little differend than shown on the pictures. Because of the handcraft every cast is unique.
