Here we offer a very attractive skeleton of "Prolagus spec." which is an extinct kind of rabbit. The bones were found in the pleistocene layers of Italy.
The skeleton has been mounted inside a wooden box covered by a glass panel. Unfortunately the pictures shown are not very good because of the reflections of the glass...
The skeleton is a "composit", meaning the bones come from differend individuals. They has been sifted out of the sandy original-sediment and put together to get this skeleton.
The bones are original, the matrix has been produced artificially. The box measures about 36 x 26 x 8 cm.
Nice and rare display-piece!
