Products description

Skull fragment of Homo Neanderthalensis Vindija Croatia

This skull fragment belongs to a lesser known specimen of the croatian Neanderthal line. It is a partial Os frontalis.

It was found in a neighbour cave of the world famous Krapina cave in Croatia. It is approximately 130.000 years old and belongs to a Neanderthal population that had relatively wide, and lightly constructed skulls. In Croatia were found relatively big populations of about 100 individuals, that all were heavily crushed into pieces. This is supposed to be a sign of canibalism.

This cast is handcoloured and made of Epoxi. The colours may be a little differend than shown on the pictures. Because of the handcraft every cast is unique.
