This tooth of Simosaurus was found in the middle triassic layers (Muschelkalk mo3) of Würzburg, Germany.
The tooth is perfectly preserved and measures about 8 mm. Interesting is its unusual shape and the chewed (not broken) tip.
The fossil "jumped" out of its matrix in the quarry and have been glued next to its original position.
The unbroken originalstone measures around 8 x 6 x 4 cm.
Simosaurus teeth are very hard to find and you do not see them often for sale.
