This pterosaur fossil is a midhand bone (metacarpal) of an Azhdarchid spec.
The fossil was found in the famous Cretaceous sediments of Tauoz in Morocco - Ifezouane Formation, Red
Sandstone Beds, KemKem Basin.
It is very little known about the pterosaurs from this site. Such finds are extremely rare.
So far there have been described two Azdarchidae species: Alanqua and Xericeps.
This specimen is something unique and worthy of study and comparison to similar remains already published. High
scientific value.
The fossil was broken and was glued professionally with no further manipulation. The lentgh is about 23 cm.
