Here we offer you something very special. It is the rare fish Cheirolepis.
The fossil comes from Middle Devonian deposits and was found on the Orkney Islands in Scotland.
The fish is completely preserved. It measures approximately 31 cm and is on the original
matrix (36 x 14 x 1.5cm).
The plate was broken and have been glued, it is not a composite!
The fossil was only given a thin, colorless varnish, no further manipulations! The paint can
easily be removed with acetone.
Look at the super beautiful scales and teeth, the skull is beautifully preserved in three
dimensions.
These interesting details can only be preserved through professional, gentle and
time-consuming preparation.
