Shark egg, lower jurassic

We are proud to be able to offer you another special exhibit for sale.

This is a fossilized egg capsule (Palaeoxyris) of a shark. The fossil was found in
Layers of the Lower Jurassic (Lias) near Bayreuth in Germany.

Positive and negative sides of the fossil are present. The largest measurable 
distance at the egg is around 8.5 cm.

Such finds are absolute rarities!
