This plate with stromatolites comes from the Permian sediments of the "Pfalz"- region in Germany.
The place of discovery is Meisenheim.
The stone is unbroken and measures approximately 15.5 x 9 x 4 cm. The fossils were elaborately
removed from the surrounding stone. The typical layered structure of these creatures can be seen
on the edge surfaces of the stone.
Fossils like this are extremely rare at this location!
