Products description
These fossil stromatolites come from the Middle Devonian age (Givetian), they are around
385 million years old.
The fossil was found on the Orkney Islands of Scotland - Yasnaby Sandstone Group.
The stone is unbroken, compact and stable. It measures approximately 25.5 x 10 x 1 cm.
One side was polished so we can see inside the stromatolites. The typical layered structure
of these creatures is clearly visible.
