Products description

Surprisingly, this exhibit was recently identified by an expert as a Hovasaurus. We mistakenly
had it on offer as a "Barasaurus" before. The new identification makes this piece even more
interesting ;-)

For sale is here a rarely offered fossil. It is a nodule containing a little triassic reptile. This skeleton of a Hovasaurus was found in triassic sediments of Madagascar.

Both nodules are preserved (positive and negative) and the bones are stil present and not only hollow forms (as often is the case).

The nodules are quite big, they measure about 18 x 16 cm and 17 x 14 cm. The bigger one was broken and have been glued professionally.

Fishes from the Trias of Madagascar are offered from time to time, reptiles from this location are very hard to get! It is completely forbidden to export fossils out of Madagascar. No new fossils reach the open market! This fossil comes from an old collection.

This one is the biggest and best Hovasaurus fossil ever had - it was part of our private collection for a long time.

All is authentic - no manipulations at all!

Do not miss this rare opportunity!
