This tooth from the long-necked reptile Tanystropheus comes from the middle triassic (upper Muschelkalk) of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The fossil is perfectly preserved - from root to the tip - it measures a remarkable 3.3 cm. You can clearly see the typical smooth tooth base of this strange reptile. The stone is unbroken. It measures approximately 7.5 x 4.5 cm and contains some more tiny fossils and one copolite. This tooth is the best I've found in 20 years of active collecting and has been part of my private collection for many years. No manipulations at all! SOLD
