Products description

For sale is here a rarely offered fossil. It is a nodule containing a little triassic reptile. This skeleton of a Barasaurus was found in permian/triassic sediments of Madagascar.

Both nodules are preserved (positive and negative) and the skull and bones are still present and not only hollow forms (as often is the case).

Interesting: Stomach stones (Gastrolithes) preserved!

The nodules are quite big, they measure about 19 cm in length. They were broken once and have been glued professionally.

Fishes from the Trias of Madagascar are offered from time to time, reptiles from this location are very hard to get! It is completely forbidden to export fossils out of Madagascar. No new fossils reach the open market! This fossil comes from an old collection.

This one is the biggest and best Barasaurus fossil ever had - it was part of our private collection for a long time.

All is authentic - no manipulations at all!

Do not miss this rare opportunity!
