Insect mosquito pliocene

This mosquito Diptera spec. comes from the layers of the upper Pliocene. The fossil 
was found in the former clay pit of Willlershausen. Unfortunately, this location is no 
longer accessible nowadays.

The insect measures about 1 cm. The stone is unbroken, it measures about 4 x 3 cm.
