Crocodile fragment from Messel

This fragment of the Crocodile Diplocynodon was found in the eocene layers of Messel near Darmstadt in Germany.

The slab measures about 12 x 9 cm. The backside of this fossil have been stabilized with epoxy and fiberglass to prevent it from damage.

Reptiles are among the rarest fossils that can be found in Messel pit.

Rarely offered piece of an extinxt Crocodile from classic famous german location.
