Rhinoceros teeth - Coelodonta antiquitatis

These two rhino teeth of Coelodonta antiquitatis were found in the pleistocene layers of Przemysl region in Poland. The gravel pits there at the former course of the river San provide these petrified remains of animals from long ago.

The two teeth come from the same individual. The are very well preserved - even the roots are still present.

The fossils have been thinly laquered, nor further manipulations, no restaurations at all.

Pleistocene rhino fossils are highly sought after by collectors and museums.
