Huge walrus rib

This huge rib of a walrus (Halitherium) was found in the oligocene aged sediments of Weinheim near Alzey, Germany.

It is well preserved and heavyly mineralized.

The fossil measures about 34,5 cm (biggest measureable distance). It was broken and have been repaired. No further manipulations.
