This fish fossil of a perch was found in the oligocene layers (Rupelton) of Wiesloch-Frauenweiler in Germany. The age of this piece is about 32 million years.
Usually the fossils from this location were prepped the same way like fossils from the Messel pit. This one offered here was inserted in a wooden box which makes it a visually very attractive exhibition piece.
The location is closed, no new finds will reach the open market.
