Nothosaur tooth lower (!) Muschelkalk

This tooth of Nothosaurus comes from the triassic (lower Muschelkalk, Orbicularis layer) of Farnstädt in Germany.

The tooth measures about 1.3 cm. It is completely preserved and is on unbroken original matrix (about 4 x 2.5 cm).

Mostly those teeth come from the upper Muschelkalk, finds from the lower Muschelkalk arerarely offered.

Perfectly preserved specimen without any manipulations!
