Products description

In the year 1914, quarry workers found the so-called "double grave of Oberkassel" in Bonn-Oberkassel, Germany. Hidden wrapped in a thin layer of clay under flat basalt blocks were the remains of an approximately 50-year-old man and an about 25 year old woman. In addition, they found skeletal parts of a dog, other animal bones and some animal bones which show human traces. The skeletal remains were dated by using the C-14-method. They are about 13,500 years old. That means they come from a period which is called "späteiszeitliche Federmesser-Gruppen". The skeletons and other discoveries are now part of the LVR-Landesmuseum in Bonn.

In the skull offered here is the well-preserved skull of the male indiviual.

This cast is handcoloured and made of Epoxi. The colours may be a little differend than shown on the pictures. Because of the handcraft every cast is unique.
