Here we offer a fossil triassic plant Voltzia.

The Voltziales are a group of extinct seed plants, they are considered the ancestors of today's conifers.

The fossil comes from the oil shale of Seefeld in Tirol / Austria (Triassic, Seefeld Formation).

The plant measures about 4 cm. The plate is unbroken, it measures about 6 x 4.5 cm.
