Here we offer a rare and nice fossil shrimp called Ambilobeia karojoi. It was found in the lower triassic layers (Karoo Formation) of Ambilobe, Madagascar.
This specimen was found as a nodule and when split open revealed the stunning fossil crustacean within. The detail of preservation is superb for this genre and the quarter-of-a-billion year age. No dyes or colorants have been applied -- this is a 100% "as found" specimen.
Both sides of the nodule are unbroken, they measure about 5 x 3 cm.
No manipulations at all - don´t miss out this one!
