Unprepped Trilobites from Bundenbach

This slab contains two unprepped Trilobites. It was found in the famous quarries round Bundenbach/Hunsrück, Germany.

The unbroken originalslab measures about 20 x 9,5 cm. It shows one Trilobite on each side. The fossils are just as found and have no preparation at all. They measure about 7 cm and 4 cm.

The age of these fossils is about 390 mio. years, meaning they are lower devonian in age.

The quarries round Bundenbach belong to the classic locations of palaeontology and are famous all over the world because of their fantastic preserved fossils. It is very hard to get such material nowadays because it is not possible to find any more fossils in that region - no new finds are possible.
