Back of head of the Ante-Neanderthal from Swanscombe near London, England
Of this 200 to 300.000 years old skull were found in river deposits of the river Thames in the years 1935/36 two fragments and in 1955 another third one. Together they reassemble a complete back of a head consisting of Os occipitalis and two Os parietalis. The brains volume was measured to 1325 ml. These human beeings were a trasitional form of Homo Erectus to Neanderthals (compare with Homo Erectus Reilingensis)
This cast is handcoloured and made of Epoxi. The colours may be a little differend than shown on the pictures. Because of the handcraft every cast is unique.
