This fish jaw is not identified yet, possibly its a new species. The preservation of this rare fossil is excellent, many teeth and even the structures of the jawbone are clearly visible.
Location and age: Westphalian, Coal Measues, Upper Carboniferous, 310 mio. Years, Age Croft Colliery, Manchester, United Kingdom.
The jaw measures about 2 cm. The matrix is original and unbroken, it measures about 4 x 2 cm.
