Rugoconites, precambrian rarity!

This rare Rugoconites fossil originates from the Precambrian-Ediacaran period and was found in Jin Jia Dong, Xu Pu County,
Hunan Province, China. It is over 570 million years old.

The fossil measures approximately 5,5 cm in diameter, is preserved in three dimensions, and exhibits a distinct bulge in the
rock. The stone is unbroken and measures approximately 8,5 x 5.5 cm.

Fossils of the Ediacaran biota are extremely rare and seldom offered for sale.

An authentic specimen – no manipulation whatsoever – entirely in its original, unaltered condition.

Note: These fossils were recently reclassified; previously, they were attributed to early jellyfish.

This specimen comes from a decades-old collection; such specimens are no longer available today, especially since the site
is now extinct.
