Interesting Ediacaran medusa from an unusual locality:
We are offering another high class rarity for sale: a very early aspidellomorph medusa.
The fossil originates from the Precambrian (Ediacaran) of the Digermulen Peninsula, Tana Municipality, Arctic Norway.
It dates back approximately 560 million years.
The fossil measures about 2.5 cm in size. The matrix is unbroken, measuring approximately 5 x 5 x 1 cm.
It features several nested circular forms; rays extend laterally from the circular fossil—this is difficult to see in the photos but visible under raking light.
We have only this single specimen — dont miss out!
