High class museum rarity – from the Precambrian:
Large slab – featuring both positive and negative impressions on either side, containing several very early fossils Beltanella and Cyclomedusa as well as other interesting structures (a scientific study would certainly be worthwhile here).
The medusa in the center is preserved in three dimensions and displays clearly raised internal structures – an unusual feature!
Formation: Ediacaran (Vendian), 558 million years old.
Locality: Novodnistrovsk Quarry, Ukraine.
Size of the stones – one intact, one broken in two – approximately 56 x 28 x 1 cm.
