Products description
This is an interesting slab containing several trace fossils (ichnofossils) of prehistoric worms.
The stone is very old, originating from Carboniferous deposits (more precisely: Upper Carboniferous, Pennsylvanian,
Westphalian A, Zaleze Beds). These fossils are approximately 310 to 315 million years old.
The find site is a now-closed coal mine in Poland. The specimen was discovered in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin,
Ruda ?l?ska, Koch?owice.
At least four worm burrows are clearly visible, and the slab also contains some possible insect traces.
The stone is unbroken and measures approximately 15 x 13 x 1 cm. It is solid and undamaged.
Original condition as found, without any tampering.
