Products description

Here we are offering you another rarity for sale.
This is a stone with fossilized shark eggs, Palaeoxyris muensteri. It was found in the Lower Jurassic
(Lias) layers near Bayreuth in Germany.

The piece contains a complete egg and part of another egg. As an interesting addition, there is a superbly
preserved Thinnfeldia fern on the back side of the stone.

The complete egg measures approximately 12 cm. A small corner of the matrix was broken off and have been
professionally glued.

The stone measures approximately 16 x 13.5 x 1 cm.

Such finds are very rare and highly sought after, not only by the many shark tooth collectors.

The site no longer exists; it has been filled in and renaturalized.
Another highly interesting spot is gone forever.

This one is RARE - Don't miss it!
