Protopteridium - Devonian plant

We are proud to offer you another rarity. This is the first time we have offered fossils of this kind. 
We only have two pieces in stock!

This stone contains very interesting Protopteridium plant fossils from the Middle Devonian (Grauwacke) 
of the Bergisches Land in Germany.
These fossils are approximately 390 million years old.

Protopteridium is a plant genus that has not yet been adequately described.

The matrix is studded with branches of this interesting species. It is unbroken and measures 
approximately 25 x 15 x 2 cm.
The fossils are located on both sides of the stone.
