Ichnofossils Volkichnium and Phycodes

Here we offer you some ichnofossils "Volkichnium volki" and "Phycodes circinatum" from the Ordovician 
(Tremadocian) period of the Thuringian Slate Mountains. These are six stones with fossils.

The pieces are geologically very old, dating back to approximately 470 million years ago.

The site was discovered in the "Hasenleite" area on the Kirchberg/Schlagetal, north of Reichmannsdorf
in Germany. Today, the area is protected, and there are no longer any possibilities of finding fossils. 
The stones were part of a collection we acquired from a now-deceased collector from the former DDR.

All pieces are still in their original condition, without any manipulatons!

Rare – to our knowledge, nothing comparable is offered for sale anywhere else.
