Dinsoaur track

This dinosaur footprint of Grallator sauclierensis dates back to the Lower Jurassic - Hettangian 
(Triassic-Jurassic boundary) and is approximately 200 million years old.

It was found in Saucliere, Lozere, France.
We were lucky enough to acquire this piece from an old collection. The site is under strict protection 
and excavations are no longer permitted there.

It is a very impressive and well-preserved fossil - even skin folds are visible.

Size of the footprint: 14 cm high and 11 cm wide.
Interestingly both sides of the fossil are preserved, so you will receive two stones.

Both stones are solid, stable, and unbroken, measuring 29.5 x 25.5 x 1.3 cm and 25.5 x 25 x 1.3 cm.

Worth mentioning: The tracks are not varnished! (This is usually done with such pieces to increase contrast.)
