Sawdonia ornata - Devonian plant

This stone contains interesting fossils of the plant Sawdonia ornata. 
The find comes from the Lower Devonian layers (Klerf-Schichten) of Waxweiler in the Eifel region, Germany.

This fossil is approximately 400 million years old.

The exhibit measures approximately 13 x 8.5 x 1.5 cm. It is unbroken and unaltered.

This is the first time we have been able to offer this rare species!

Rarely offered material from a German locality.
