Lungfish Pentlandia

This Pentlandia lungfish comes from Middle Devonian sediments. It was found on the Orkney Islands of Scotland.

The specimen is complete and excellently preserved. It displays beautiful details, especially in the tail area.

The fish measures approximately 10.5 cm. The stone was once broken and measures approximately 15 x 11 x 2 cm.

The fossil has been thinly varnished with a colorless varnish, which can be easily removed with acetone if desired.
