We are pleased to offer you another rarity.
This slab contains approximately twenty fossils of early fish peltopleuriforms. The piece comes from
the Upper Triassic of Bergamo in Lombardy, Italy.
Such fossilized mass extinctions are rare and occurred, for example, when ponds dried up and the fish
gathered in the ever-dwindling water.
The stone is unbroken, measuring approximately 20 x 11.5 x 0.5 cm, and the fish are approximately
4 cm long.
The site has been strictly protected for decades, and it is almost impossible to obtain fossils from
there. The specimen offered here comes from an estate.
We only have this one piece from the site. Don't miss this rare opportunity.
A genuine fossil without any manipulation!
